Happy Monday & last day of April! I woke up this morning pretty exhausted from the weekend, but also feeling grateful for the glorious weather, my friends, my natural optimism, and my newly increased self-worth.

It was rainy Friday, and we all know raining days are good for one thing and one thing only, SHOPPING. I went to the Macy’s Herald Square store and found some beautiful pieces for Spring/Summer that I am very excited about.

My shopping habits have developed over the years. When I was younger, if it fit – I bought it. Even if i didn’t feel completely comfortable or I didn’t love it. Today, I always have a game plan when I shop. I want my closet to reflect my personality, the season, and allow for quick and good outfit decisions. If you’re in a dressing room and find yourself questioning or convincing yourself the pieces you brought in. SKIP IT!

Here are the six new items I bought at Macy’s; including asymmetrical dresses, florals, straw, embellished, white sneakers, and pastel. If you see something that catches your eye, click HERE to shop!

Another early morning and motivated to move! I signed up for a 9am spin class, but PRIOR to that I actually went to Central Park and ran my Day 3 of Week 1 of Couch To 5k Running Program. I use the C25K app by Zen Labs. The whole morning was great. I was energized, happy, and felt strong. After class I headed home, showered, had BCAAs and whipped up a smoothie with PES Peanut Butter Cookie Protein.

Later that day, my friend and I went to the Fordham University Spring Weekend Concert where we saw T-Pain. That was fun. Then headed back into the city and enjoyed the nice weather some more.

I always set aside some time on Sunday to reflect and refocus my thoughts and energy. I do this by taking long walks, journaling, and looking inward to see myself as worthy, loved & valued.

The flowers are OUT in New York and I couldn’t help myself from snapping pictures along my stroll in Central Park. I ended up finding a great bench right in the heart of Central Park Lake where I got to watch everyone row boating, the cherry blossoms were bloomed, and the air was crisp.

After Central Park, I ran to Dean & Deluca to grab a hot ginger team and browse. I didn’t buy anything because #BUDGET, but just tell me they don’t have the prettiest array of food.

I had the speediest dinner ever of 8oz ground turkey, mixed with spinach, 1/2 Whole Foods Roasted Garlic Pasta Sauce (the best), & a lot of nutritional yeast; THEN headed off too a 6:30pm cycling class.

I don’t know what it is recently, but I’ve been craving that adrenaline rush where my hearts beating, I’m sweating, dancing, listening to good music and get inthralled in the beat of the song. It’s a great way to snap back to mindfulness.

I ended the night reaching out to some friends, tidying up my kitchen, and putting my laundry away.

How was your weekend? What do Sunday’s represent for you – worship, rest, errands, indulging, family?
